Raiffeisen supports the second edition of Boost Kosovo acceleration programme

After a successful first edition, Raiffeisen Bank is pleased to announce its support for the second round of the United Nations Development Programme's (UNDP) Boost Kosovo project.

The heatwaves and flash floods that occurred in Kosovo in 2023 serve as an illustration of the severity of climate change challenges, creating a wide range of risks for businesses. To help address these environmental and economic shocks, this programme intends to prepare businesses to adapt to climate change impacts while accelerating the shift towards sustainable business practices.

Through an open call in October this year, Boost Kosovo selected 30 micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) that demonstrated significant business potential for making the shift towards environmental sustainability as a crucial component of a green recovery. The programme focuses on developing sustainable business models, enhancing risk management capabilities, and fortifying disaster resilience. Through their participation, these enterprises will propel their innovative solutions to the next level and amplify their impact.

At the end of the programme, 12 out of the 30 MSMEs will receive grants in adopting the proposed solutions, with two of the MSMEs will be supported by Raiffeisen Bank.

During the first edition of this programme, Raiffeisen Bank in Kosova provided financial support to five enterprises selected by Boost Kosovo as the implementing party.

The cooperation between the Bank and UNDP in Kosovo comes after the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding in March 2023.
