ESG Summit

Raiffeisen Bank has summarized its 20 years journey in Kosovo through the slogan "Support. Responsibility. Innovation". Responsibility toward economic, environmental and social impact led us having the sustainability one of main pillars of the bank’s strategy alongside growth and digital transformation in the recent decade. It was inevitably driven by the commitment of our parent company, Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) which since 2010 committed to the UN Global Compact, the world’s largest initiative for corporative responsibility and sustainability. Today, our sustainability strategy includes our roles as responsible bank, engaged citizen, employees and inhouse ecology.

A particular focus is extended to our bank portfolio impact on climate protection and circularity, following the RBI commitment to implementing the Principles for Responsible Banking for the UNEP Finance Initiatives in 2021. In coordination with RBI, Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo took further responsibility in the transition to a more sustainable, climate-friendly economy by providing its customers in Kosovo with expert knowledge in the support of their green transition but also focusing on reducing CO2 emissions associated with our own business activities. Given that the Green Economy Transition is also a priority of the Government of Kosovo, we though that we could contribute further to promote greater environmental responsibilities to the public by sharing the knowledge on this topic through a summit with all stakeholders in Kosovo.
